Character Name: Ibuki Mioda
Age: 17 or so as far as she knows, is actually more like 2 or 3 three years older than that thanks to memory loss.

Personality:

Ibuki Mioda is a wild and rambunctious girl, someone who comes off as immediately loud and eccentric. A musician with a heart of song, Ibuki is all about sound. She has exceptional hearing, often shown when she listens in on the protag whispering or quietly talking about her and she cuts in. This came in handy in the first murder as she could recount what everyone said during the blackout, and who said it.

In a class full of eccentric weirdos, Ibuki is one of the more eccentric and weird among them. From biting the protag as her prize to getting "31 flavors of excited" over the items in the island's supermarket, Ibuki is kind of a weirdo. There's basically no off switch to her energy and enthusiastic rambling. Even she rarely seems to know what she's talking about, having zero filter and saying/doing whatever snaps into her head without a second thought. As her statistic card states, she hates boredom. She's always running around finding something, anything to entertain herself. She's at her least active when she basically bluescreens when they find dead bodies or something equally shocking happens, otherwise she is 100% on and going. While Ibuki does have a serious side when absolutely needed, it rarely shows itself as usually she's ridiculous even when serious. And those are usually just moments of realizing that now is not the time, which she rarely does.

Incredibly, downright agressively friendly Ibuki behaves as if she's already friends with people when first meeting them. She refers to everyone by their first name and the casual suffix -chan, even Monobear. This is likely partly from the fact that before Hope's Peak she attended an all-girls High School where -chan would have been the norm. Even her stand-offish, more unfriendly classmates are harassed by Ibuki's friendly nature. Her concepts of boundaries are loose, given she breaks down the protag's door to wake him up and annoyed the rest of the class by yelling outside their doors. Whether you like it or not, she will aggressively bombard you with her friendship or at least casual nature (even assholes get this treatment).

Ibuki has no issues with self-confidence, which likely lends heavily to why she's able to be so absurdly weird. She plays solo hide-and-seek and solo tag, readily admits that she's always lost, makes the protag practice headbanging with her, to name a few of her antics. She almost seems to function on a different level of existence, though not to the extent of Mr Dark Lord Gundam Tanaka, but no one can really match that, even the hyper ridiculousness that is Ibuki Mioda.

Beneath her crazy, Ibuki is one of the kinder and more caring among her classmates. She's high-spirited and makes a genuine effort in trying to lift the spirits of other classmates, as well as having showing genuine concern about others-- she admits she couldn't sleep after the first trial, and in her last free time admits that she dragged Hinata around randomly to help jog his memory of what his talent was (not for her own sake, even, but because she saw that he was down about it). She seems to have an innate tendency to seek out the lonely or sad in the group to lift their spirits. Simply, Ibuki is a good friend. She is definitely one of the few in her class who make a clear effort to make friends, as well. Ibuki has stated that she has little interest in romantic relationships, looking more for a deep platonic friendship. Like a soulmate, but in her words a "bandmate".

Like the rest of her class, Ibuki was apart of the SHSL Despair. The details of her falling into Despair and what she did during that time are unknown (thanks, canon), and even in canon she never learns about this period of her life (peril or maybe bonus of dying mid-game). While it's less obvious for her than some as to why this happened, during her final free time event she states that thanks to Hinata, she can turn away from despair-- meaning even pre-Hope's Peak high-spirited, energetic Ibuki felt the threads of Despair that would lead to her helping end her world.
